In-person Learning - Computer and Gadget Help Workshops

Emma helps at Gadget Help classWhen you attend a Computer and Gadget Help workshop, you will get in-person help learning basic technology skills. For example:

  • Downloading documents to the files on your computer, smartphone, or tablet
  • Filling out online forms
  • Setting up or using your new laptop, smartphone, tablet or eReader
  • Using productivity suites like Microsoft Office, MS 365, or Google Workspace
  • Using productivity software like Word, Google Docs, Excel, and PowerPoint

Our teaching style - Self-directed learning

We are not technology experts. We are experts at figuring things out and helping others figure things out. We will encourage and support your self-directed learning activities. This may include guided demonstrations where you control the device while we walk you through the activity, or a more hands-off approach where we point you in the right direction, then remain close by in case you need help.

We don’t repair computers or remove malware.
