You'll want to participate in three all-ages reading challenges every year:
- Winter Reading Challenge - January
- Summer Reading Challenge - June & July
- Fall Reading Challenge - October
We also have 30 Books in 30 Days, challenges just for children birth - 5 years old in April & November.
Print books, ebooks, audiobooks and graphic novels are part of the Reading Challenges. Our digital collections at Libby and Hoopla are always available and provide immediate access to thousands of great reads. If you want help finding amazing reads, sign up for Browsing Just for You and a librarian will select books for you based on your interests.

Winter & Fall Challenges
The Winter and Fall Reading Challenges are 1-month challenges that reward everyone who reads 3 books during the month. Prizes available while supplies last.
Participating in the Winter or Fall Challenge is super easy:
- Read at least 3 great books during the month
- Log your books in Beanstack
Summer Reading Challenge
Take part in the Summer Reading Challenge in June and July! All ages are welcome. Kids birth to 12 years old and teens earn a prize for every 2 hours of reading (up to 8 hours). Adults will earn two great prizes for reading 6 books in June and July. Prizes available while supplies last.
A trip to the library, gallery or bookmobile is a great way to keep brains active and entertained with performers, activities, art and reading.

Birth - 5 Years Old Challenges
The 30 Books in 30 Days Challenges are 1-month challenges that rewards kids who read 30 books (or have 30 books read to them) during the month. For this challenge you don't need to read 30 different books, you could read your child the same book 30 times, 10 books 3 times or any other combination of reading at least 30 times. Prizes available while supplies last.
Participating in the 30 Books in 30 Days Challenge is super easy:
- Read great books to your child at least 30 times during the month
- Log your books in Beanstack
