Take part in the Summer Reading Challenge in June and July! All ages are welcome. Kids birth to 12 years old earn a prize for every 2 hours of reading (up to 8 hours). Teens and adults will earn two great prizes for reading 6 books in June and July.

A trip to the library, bookmobile or the library website is a great way to keep brains active and entertained with activities and reading.

Seaman Steele Drums | 10:00am & 1:00pm
The Seaman Steele drum line typically plays cadences, popular songs, and other musical arrangements that showcase their skills and entertain the audience.

Operation Wildlife - Deluxe Raptor Program | 6:30pm
This program includes a mixture of hawks, falcons, and owls from the Dayshift and Nightshift programs for five or six raptors. The audience members will learn about the hunting habits and adaptive characteristics of the birds presented.


Jack Reid Magic
Manhattan’s up-and-coming magician. The 25-year-old local began doing magic professionally about six years ago.  Mind reading, crafty card tricks, and more with a zany personality to match.  Prepare to be dazzled!
Brian Wendling
Juggling and comedy.  His reputation precedes him with a vast array of awards and accomplishments.
Dino O’Dell
Whether the goal is early childhood literacy, science education, or simply entertainment, Dino’s library shows are interactive and educational.
Mad Science – Science is Astounding
We are all in this together!  Volunteers may be asked to help!   Creating chemical reactions to show it takes more than one sometimes to make incredible things happen.
Stone Lion Puppet Theater - Helpful Hannah Hippo
Hannah just wants to be helpful! This little hippo finds a tiny chick that was washed away in a flood. Join her on her journey to reunite her little friend with her missing family. Along the way, Hannah, her buddy Ollie the Oxpecker and little Ava discover the biodiversity of the Ewaso Nyiro River in central Kenya, the challenges this precious land is experiencing and why we all need to pitch in and help when we see something, or someone needs a helping hand.
Mister Stinky Feet – aka Jim Cosgrove
For 25 years, Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove has logged more than 4,500 performances in 38 U.S. states and seven countries, including two performances at the White House Easter Egg Roll. In 2021, his music was streamed more than 2.6 million times on Spotify alone, and his YouTube channel has more than 2.3 million views.
Operation Wildlife - Nightshift | 10:00am & 1:00pm
A combination of four or five owls, which can include a great horned owl, barred owl, barn owl, or screech owl. Students learn the hunting habits and adaptive characteristics of the birds shown.

Joseph Stringer | 6:30pm
Based on Fischer Price toys it is a comedy magic show. He did not become a doctor; he became a magician!
