Visit the AdventureMobile next week to learn all about lizards and see one up-close. And make sure you also stock up on all sorts of books and movies featuring fun facts about these scaly critters.

There are over 6,000 species of lizards living all over the world. Lizards are cold-blooded reptiles and can be found living in a variety of habitats like deserts, rainforests, grasslands, and swamps.  Lizards are most closely related to snakes. They have scaly skin which periodically sheds as they grow. They even smell with their tongues just like snakes do. However, what makes lizards different from their slithering relatives is the presence of eyelids, ears and feet.

Come learn other fun facts about what lizards like to eat, where they live, and how they escape from predation.

Make sure you get your Critter Card stamped, log your summer reading time with us and pick up any prizes you may have earned. Check the Adventuremobile schedule to find a stop near you.
