What’s in Your Top 5?

High School Movies

School is back in session. It reminds me of the good old days when we had to deal with crushes, bullies, state championships, rogue cheerleaders, detentions, vampires, and alien teachers. That’s right, I’m talking about Hollywood’s portrayals of high school. Movies about high school, realistic or not, are huge pop culture phenomenons because they speak to a generation. But even if you missed a generation by twenty or thirty years, the best hits stand out and are still relevant today. The most successful films make us relive our youth and often relate to one of the character’s trials. Since there are numerous films with this subject matter, I had to adjust my usual top 5 favorites to a list of 10. If you favorite is missing, add it below in the comments.Breakfast Club

1. Breakfast Club

2. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

3. Sixteen Candles

4. Napoleon Dynamite

5. Lucas

6. Rebel Without a Cause

7. Clueless

8. CarrieGrease

9. Hoosiers

10. Grease
