2Book Topeka
Think about multiplying your reading experience when you join 2Book Topeka, our community reading initiative. Three times a year everyone in Shawnee County has the opportunity to read two books on a theme, then come together to discuss what we’ve read. Our summer 2018 theme is music, and we’re reading After Tupac and D Foster by Jacqueline Woodson and The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom. Check out your copies and start reading one or both of the books today! Join in the book discussions for these titles, or participate in over 300 other summer activities at the library on the theme of music. Find our full schedule for Curiosity Central in the June/July edition of the Library News.
Joining us in the studio:
Nikki and Becky are members of BookBites, a library sponsored book discussion group for readers in their 20s and 30s. In this episode, the group discusses After Tupac and D Foster, by Jacqueline Woodson, much as we would do around the table during book discussion. Don’t worry, we included a fabulous round of our fan favorite, fast five!
