To begin we ponder the 14 definitions of a classic from Italo Calvino’s essay “Why Read the Classics?” We then discuss assignments of high school and college literature classes and modern award winner lists. Librarian Chris Blocker shares his recommendations to help you find the perfect pick for the “A Classic” square on your Reading Bingo card.
