2016 – Roy G. Biv: Color Defined

Roy G Biv graphicSo who is this “Roy G. Biv” guy and why should you care?

What if I was to tell you that “Roy” stood for Red, Orange, Yellow and “G. Biv” was Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet? Know who he is yet? Roy G. Biv is the rainbow!

The Sabatini Gallery is playing with color and we want you to get in on the fun. What better way to discover color that by walking through a rainbow of artwork? Red, yellow and blue, the primary colors will be there, so will orange, green and violet, the secondary colors. Explore the way colors work together and how without realizing it, you mix and match colors like an artist each day.

Artists use colors to tell a story. They choose rich hues of red, intense violets and tints of blue to move your eye through their work. Each color adds to the story.

As you a travel through our rainbow, ask yourself, “What colors tell my story?”

There is a full spectrum of events to attend in concert with this exciting exhibit.
