Enjoy an exhibit of mechanical masterpieces August 12 – October 16, 2016.
Americans have long had a fascination with cars and motorcycles. Is it the appeal of the open road? Is it the look and feel of a beautifully designed vehicle? Maybe it’s that new car smell. Whatever their impressions, the artists and designers in this exhibit share our love of cars and motorcycles through photographs, paintings, sculptures and the vehicles themselves.
When you look at a car, motorcycle or work of art, you look at design elements; lines, patterns, textures, shapes and colors. Your eyes travel from one element to the next. These artists use the same elements in their work to create a feeling of movement and to draw you in for a closer look. These two seemingly different worlds share much in common.
Discover different elements of art and automotive design from lines, patterns, shapes and textures – can you find them all?
