Basic Technology Support
In-person Learning - Computer and Gadget Help Workshops
When you attend a Computer and Gadget Help workshop, you will get in-person help learning basic technology skills. For example:
- Downloading documents to the files on your computer, smartphone or tablet
- Filling out online forms
- Setting up or using your new laptop, smartphone, tablet or eReader
- Using productivity suites like Microsoft Office, MS 365, or Google Workspace
- Using productivity software like Word, Google Docs, Excel, and PowerPoint
Our teaching style - Self-directed learning
We aren’t technology experts. We are experts at figuring things out and helping others figure things out. We will encourage and support your self-directed learning activities. This may include guided demonstrations where you control the device while we walk you through the activity, or a more hands-off approach where we point you in the right direction, then remain close by in case you need help.
