2011 – Call of Duty: Kansans in World War II

Call of Duty is dedicated to the men and women who answered their nation’s call to serve on either the front lines or the home front during World War II, and will feature photographs, stories, military artifacts and original works of art.

The highlight of the exhibition is a large intertwining timeline of the Pacific and European campaigns, as well as significant events from the Kansas home front mixed in. Also featured are a handful of local Kansans who served, and the contribution that Kansas made to the war effort. The efforts at home, such as scrap drives, victory gardens, war production—including a morale-boosting USO dance—will be featured throughout the gallery.
