Kansas Connections
Bring free, fun, entertaining, and educational hands-on programs on Animals, Science, Arts & Music, and History for kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade. A specialist will come to your classroom, bringing cool stuff like explosive experiments, or creepy urban legends. See KS Connections
Library Tours
Give your students an edge: get them familiarized with the public library. We offer many options for tours, including a storytime or book talk, a visit to the art gallery or Topeka Room, and of course the famous check-in machine. Call us to schedule a tour for your group (785-580-4565).
The Adventuremobile
Throughout the school year, we send a very special bookmobile to elementary schools throughout Shawnee County.
TSCPL @ School
Using their existing student number, students at Seaman, Shawnee Heights, Topeka USD 501, or a middle or high school student at Washburn Rural, have access to all of the resources at the public library. This includes online databases, ebooks, digital audiobooks and streaming videos as well as all of the physical items at the library and bookmobiles.

Outreach Storytellers
The library's Outreach Storytellers visit 75 daycare centers and preschools, telling stories to more than 3,700 children ages 3-5 every month. To discuss the possibility of a visit by a Outreach Storyteller to your facility, call Youth Services at 580-4565 or email Youth Services Supervisor LeAnn Brungardt.
