Audiobooks and read-alongs are great for listening centers!

  • CDs–  We have hundreds of titles to choose from.
  •  Playaways–  All kids need is a pair of headphones to plug into this convenient, lightweight, pre-loaded MP3 player.  The controls are intuitive to kids who have been raised in the digital age.
  • Read-alongs –  These picture books with a CD tucked into the back pocket are perfect for kids just learning to read.
  • Playaway Bookpacks –  A special kid-friendly playaway with fewer buttons as well as several read-along picture books are conveniently packaged into one item for easy checkout.
  • Digital audiobooks – The library offers two free digital libraries full of audiobooks at OverDrive and Hoopla, with user-friendly apps.

Book Group in a Bag

Are you ready to use literature circles in class or start an after-school book club?  Book Group in a Bag provide you with 10-15 copies of the same book + a discussion guide. Simple and easy.

Find read-alikes

When the holds list for the hottest new book is 40 kids long, it can be challenging to motivate some kids to read.  Novelist is a fabulous, easy-to-use tool to help connect kids with other books they might enjoy.  Just type in the name of the book, then click on one of the read-alike links to get a list of similar titles.

Book Orders

Book orders are available to teachers at any time. Use the Browsing Just for You service and we'll gather some books on the topic of your choice at the appropriate reading level for your students, then place them in the holds pick-up room, or have them delivered to your home.  You can request up to one book order per week - just give us a week's notice to gather your items.
