Turn up the volume on your summer by working the library into your activity calendar with more than 300 events (June 1- Aug 20) that will keep you tuned-up until fall!
We’re making it so easy to score a summer reading playlist at our NEW Borrow It Book Fair on Friday, June 1, 10am-7pm in the library. You won’t have to flip catalog records to find kids and teen books because you can dance on into our new Learning Center (former magazine room) and find great reads arranged by topics. This fair expands into the Team Room area for you to explore adult books. You’ll get a free tote bag to take home all the awesome summer reads you check out—while supplies last. Shake-rattle and roll into the pop-up programs going on throughout the library on June 1.
Every Tuesday and Thursday from May 29 – Aug 16, you can get down at Readapalooza and Stories & Crafts 10-11am. Kids 5-12 years old will rock out during Readapalooza with inspiring and exciting stories, crafts and activities. Kids 3-5 years old will groove during Stories & Crafts with stories, songs and activities that will sound like music to your ears when they ask you to read it or listen to the book, again.
Your library is Curiosity Central this summer! This is just a sample of all that’s going on. The Adventuremobile will be around town with material to check out and musical activities for the Curiosity Club. Also register for the summer reading and experience program.
If you don’t have time to create your own reading playlists, below are some recommendations from library staff. As you will probably notice we had some fun naming our book lists with song titles to fit in with this summer’s musical focus. Check out even more summer reading lists for all ages.
