In searching for peace from the anguish of depression, she was drawn onto a spiritual pathway that helped not only manage her depression, but eventually led her to healing. The reader will learn simple spiritual practices that guide the liberating path. Chapter questions enable the reader to find their own innate resources for liberation from depression. Sharon Highberger is a certified chaplain and grief counselor who lived daily with depression.  She has worked as a Chaplain in a hospital and hospice.  She is now in the process of becoming a certified Spiritual Director, gives retreats, and shares the hope that she has been given as outlined in her book.

Charity Rouse

Charity is a Public Service Specialist working with genealogy and local history reference in the Topeka Room/Genealogy. Her start at TSCPL came as a genealogy researcher soon after the Baker Genealogy Center opened in November 2007. In early 2009, she became a Genealogy volunteer and in May 2010 she came to work at TSCPL. She earned her Master of Library Science degree from Emporia State University in December 2011. One of her favorite times of year is when the Topeka Room is decked out for the holidays.
