Pin Your Library

The Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library has a Pinterest account!  Check it out and see the wonders of your Library and other visual recommendations by Library staff.

Using our Library neighborhoods as a guide, we have built pinboards for cooking, lawn and garden, parents and kids, healthy living, several staff recommendation boards, and a host of other interesting, educational, and amusing pinboards.

We have filled pinboards with dozens of images for you that promote and highlight:

  • the Library’s collections, programs, services, and other digital content.
  • the “library experience.” Pins that reflect the core values of the Library and topics that we think you will find interesting, enjoyable, or educational.
  • the Library’s staff.  We want to express our personalities and show you the wonderful and diverse nature of your Library staff

If you don’t know about Pinterest, it is a newer social media website that allows you to post and share images grouped together by topic. Unfortunately, it is one of those sites you need to see to understand and appreciate. Here is how they describe themselves.

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web…browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.—”

Go to the Library’s Pinterest account and get your pin on!
