Many of us are anxious to get a look at the 1940 Census.  The release date is set April 2, 2012.  You can get a preview at NARA’s website now.  They have copies of the blank 1940 forms, information about what’s different, and instructional videos.  You can access previous census records now and will be able to access the 1940 Census after its release date from home at one of our Genealogy and Local History links like Heritage Quest  or here in the Library from our Ancestry.com access.
