While the Bookmark is on hiatus for the summer we are re-posting our hosts favorite episodes from the last season. Creating films and television shows from the pages of books is a long tradition that is not coming to a stop any time soon. This episode we explore the adaptions we did and did not like. We also talk about upcoming adaptions we’re excited about.

Do you read a book before or after seeing the screen adaption? Must you both read and watch an adaption? We discuss how sometimes, if the adaption is too close to the page, it leaves us wanting for something new. Sometimes changes between the two really are for the better.

Favorite adaptions

Chris: Never Let Me Go
Autumn: Harry Potter (any and all)
Miranda: Tie between The Princess Bride and The Last Unicorn
