Chris’ Theme:  Taking Up Space

Whether it’s the space between words or the space between worlds, it’s all covered in this week’s book recommendations. Our hosts discuss the need for space between people and people who just need some space. They also talk about outer space.

In 1986 space was a big topic because of the Challenger explosion. Chris and Miranda both talk about books that take place in 1986 and involve a young girl from Florida with aspirations of becoming an astronaut. Autumn’s choices have us once again asking “what the bleep?” Find out which books leave you knowing that some friendships have an expiration date. Also, what’s a recommendation session with Miranda without something post-apocalyptic and/or dystopian? Some have hopeful messages like that technology reduces the space between people and can bring communities together.

Discover more about all these books, plus the honorable mentions, in this week’s episode. Join us next week for The Secrets We Keep.
