Sabatini plaque unveiling
A new plaque at the entrance to the library's Alice C. Sabatini Gallery will welcome visitors with Sabatini's drawings and will commemorate her life and work.
On Alice C. Sabatini's birth anniversary, people will gather to remember her and appreciate her artistry as a plaque is unveiled at the entrance to the gallery named in her honor. A public reception will take place 2 p.m. Sat. Feb. 28.
The plaque will include changeable bronze relief plates with six of Alice’s drawings. The plates will change periodically. Visitors can make rubbings of the drawings to take home. Read an interview with the designer of the plaque, local artist Janet Zoble.
