Planning Your New Home

If you’re thinking about planning a new home but don’t know where to start, look no further than the home neighborhood here at the library. We have a wide variety of different designs and styles to choose from: cottage, ranch, lakeside/waterfront, cabins, vacation homes, retirement homes, energy-efficient, summer homes and many more. If budget is a problem, we have a large selection of plans that consider your budget and space available for your new home. Different architectural styles include mediterranean, ranch, southwest, cottage, contemporary, victorian and more. From the novice to the experienced home builder, we have the plan that’s right for you.

Even if you aren't looking to build a new home, home plans can be a great way to get ideas for renovating and remodeling your home. Finding similar floor plans can be a helpful tool in deciding whether or not to knock out a wall or add a new room. A large selection of the floor plans include furniture layouts to maximize your space. I've used the floor plans to get new ideas on rearranging rooms to create better walking paths around furniture. Looking at the exterior shots of homes can give new ideas on curb appeal as well. A well placed garden or walking path can add that extra style and value to your current home.
