I'll Have What She's Having

Did you know When Harry Met Sally is almost 30 years old?!

This movie is one of my all-time favorite movies, and because it's February, I've been thinking about rom-coms. Why you ask? Well February equals romance natch! ;)  Anyway, it's an awesome movie because it's got all the ingredients of  a rom-com - a simple premise, romance with a capital R, funny punchlines and a wonderful grand declaration of love.

The movie has aged remarkably well too and I think you'd be lying to yourself if you've never given any thought to the age-old question of the differences between men and women. I've also been reading I'll Have What She's Having by Daniel Kimmel and discovered that Nora Ephron and Rob Reiner used their own life-experiences when writing the screenplay! Harry was based on a lot of Reiner's personal experiences and Sally reflected a lot of Ephron's life and attitudes.

If you like When Harry Met Sally, here are a few more to try:

On that note, I'd like to leave you with one of my favorite exchanges between Harry and Sally:

“You take someone to the airport,
its clearly the beginning of the
relationship. And that is why I have
never taken anyone to the airport
at the beginning of a relationship.”
-Harry

“Why?” -Sally

“Because eventually things move on
and you don’t take someone to the airport
and I never wanted anyone to say to me,
'How come you never take me to the airport anymore?'”
-Harry

“Its amazing. You look like a normal person
but actually you are the angel of death.”
-Sally
