View artwork from elementary, middle and high school students from across Kansas in the library hallways through March 26, 2022. Teachers nominate students to participate in this Kansas Art Education Association (KAEA) exhibit as part of Youth Art Month. Every art teacher may nominate one piece of student artwork from every school where they teach. Participants must be enrolled in grades K-12 and all artwork must be original.

KAEA partners with BLICK Art in sponsoring an art competition. Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art - Johnson County Community College, Spencer Museum of Art - University of Kansas, and Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art also sponsor this competition.

Youth Art Month is a national promotion of visual art and art education for grades K – 12. As part of this promotion thousands of schools participate and partner with local art museums and civic organizations to display students' art. Youth Art Month promotes the importance of art education to develop problem solving, creativity, observation and communication skills.
