Top Ten Super Summer Reads
As you have likely noticed, the Kids Library gets really busy during the summer. So it comes as no surprise that kids are checking out more books during the summer, too. Our amazing readers logged more than 72,000 hours this summer! Just for fun, we've compiled a list of the hottest kids books of Summer 2015.
The ten books below are the kids books with the highest number of check-outs from May 25- August 1. The titles on this list might surprise you!

Media tie-ins motivate kids to read. Everyone wins.
8. Two-way tie: Where's Waldo? The Wonder Book and Where's Waldo?
Originally published in 1987, Where's Waldo? has the honor of being the oldest book on the list.
7. Big Nate Lives it Up
The seventh book in the Big Nate series, kids love him because he's funny!
6. Disney Frozen
Will Frozen fever ever end? No, apparently it will not. But if it's getting kids reading, we're in favor!
5. Where's Waldo: The Fantastic Journey
I can hear some of you lamenting that kids aren't reading "real" books. But you should know that search-and-find books like this one help kids develop serious academic skills like attention to detail, learning to skim and scan, and being persistent when faced with a challenge.
