Senior Fair a Success

On Wednesday, September 24 the library hosted its 3rd Annual Senior Fair from 10-1, and had more than 200 attendees. Those who came were able to gather information from the 35 vendors handing out information from a variety of fields including the finance, housing, legal, health, leisure, care and service sectors. You can see the complete list of vendors below.

In addition to the information handed out by vendors, attendees also had the opportunity to attend two breakout sessions which were presented by Audio Reader and The Shepherd's Center. In the library's parking lot attendees were also able to have a free safety inspection done on their cars by the Kansas Department of Transportation and AAA. More than a dozen cars were inspected, reassuring their drivers that they were operating safe vehicles.
We will be bringing the Senior Fair to you again next year in the early Fall, as the library will once again connect older adults with all of the information and resources that are available in the Topeka and Shawnee County area.
