Relax by making art
Reduce stress and give your brain a break with an arts and craft project. Studies show that spending time being creative is good for your mind. The process of making art gives you a break from your usual thoughts, which helps you relax, as long as you don't stress about the quality of your art. 
We can help you get creative with arts and crafts kits. These kits let you try a new project or hobby to see if you like it before you invest in supplies. We have a wide variety of kits including adult coloring, crochet, counted cross stitch, drop spindle, knitting, origami, stitch embroidery and tatting. The kits can be checked out for 21 days and they all include a few items you can keep (like yarn or thread) in addition to the items you must return.
If you are interested in being creative with a group, check out our regular arts and crafts programs at the library and community centers. There are also several arts and crafts groups in our community that focus on specific art or craft forms and meet regularly to create together.
