Quick and Easy Breakfast

However, I've discovered that breakfast doesn't have to take a long time to make in order to be delicious!
One of my favorite go-to breakfasts is quick and easy French toast. It's very tasty, and can be made in a matter of a few minutes before heading out for the day.
Or if you're like me, you can cut it up and put it into a disposable cup so that you can take it with you when you're rushing out the door.
Quick and Easy French Toast
1/4 cup of milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Egg
3-4 slices of bread
Add your favorite toppings - berries, chocolate chips, syrup, powdered sugar, etc.
- In a bowl, beat the egg, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon together. A shallow dish works the best. I usually use a regular cereal bowl.
- Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Place each slice of bread in a lightly greased skillet or griddle over medium heat. When the bread has browned on one side, flip and brown the other side. I have a non-stick electric griddle that I absolutely adore for this! It's really easy and each side of the bread browns in a minute or two.
- Serve warm with your favorite topping. Personally, I'm a traditionalist and use maple syrup. It's so yummy!
