Pull Your Sofa Off the Wall

Are you tired of the winter and the blahs that come with it? Here’s something to get you out of your funk. February is National Pull Your Sofa Off the Wall Month. Who knew? I certainly didn’t, and when I read that there was actually a month dedicated to moving your sofa, I had to investigate. The theory behind the sofa move is quite simple. Once a year we should all pull our sofas off the wall and take a look around. Can we place that large piece of furniture anywhere else? Does it even have to be along a wall? Furthermore, what’s under those cushions and beneath the behemoth? Time for some vacuuming I’m pretty sure. In all seriousness, this IS a good time of year to clean up and get organized while we’re all trapped inside. It’s also a great time to take a look around any room in your house that has a sofa, couch, davenport, divan, or love seat and see if you can figure out a new arrangement for that room. Shake things up and you will feel like you have a brand new room.
