DIY Digital Storytime: Rosa Parks

With the Freedom Week celebrations taking place this week in many local schools, I thought it would be good to revisit a DIY Digital Storytime that was originally posted in February.
We’re going to use Bookflix to read some powerful kids stories about Rosa Parks. To get to Bookflix, go the Kids Library webpage and look for the purple icon. Then login with your library card.

Rosa Parks was instrumental in the Civil Rights movement, and Nikki Giovanni tells her story in a personal and engaging way. You'll also learn about Emmett Till, Jo Ann Robinson, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Before you read, learn the word of the day: Justice-- fairness for everyone.
