Book Locker Comes to Oakland Center

We know your lifestyle demands a lot out of you. So, we’ve made it even easier to use the library: introducing the new Oakland Community Center Smart Locker. It’s a new way for Oakland-area families to access the library.

You can now request items be delivered to the Oakland Community Center. Visit catalog.tscpl.org, click on the item(s) you want and select Oakland Community Center Smart Locker as your pick-up location – or by make your request by calling 785-580-4400.

The locker works for delivering books, movies, music and magazines – virtually anything in the library can be delivered to you at Oakland and checked out there. You’ll be notified by phone or email when your items arrive at the Oakland Community Center Smart Locker.

“We’re committed to offering more convenience to our community,” said Thad Hartman, Community Services Manager. “We encourage folks in the Oakland area to try out the Smart Locker and tell their friends and family. We welcome your feedback on this new service and are evaluating other locations.”

The library also provides six computers, a printer and events like song writing, crochet, art introduction and resume writing at the Oakland Community Center.
