30 Books in 30 Days: Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Challenge

Join the 30 Books in 30 Days challenge for your child(ren) birth - 5 years old. This is a one-month challenge that rewards kids who read 30 books (or have 30 books read to them) during November. For this challenge you don't need to read 30 different books, you could read your child the same book 30 times, 10 books 3 times or any other combination of reading at least 30 times. Prizes available while supplies last.

cartoon bear and bees with a bookThis challenge is part of our library's Kansas Reads to Preschoolers activities. Kansas Reads to Preschoolers is an annual event that promotes reading to all Kansas children from birth through age five during November. Pick up a free book to keep Nov 16 - 22 in the Kids Library while supplies last.

Participating in 30 Books in 30 Days is super easy:

  1. Read to your child at least 30 times between Nov 1 and 30
  2. Log your books in Beanstack

Print books, ebooks, audiobooks and graphic novels are part of the 30 Books in 30 Days Reading Challenge. Our digital collections at Libby and Hoopla are always available and provide immediate access to thousands of great reads. If you want help finding amazing reads, sign up for Browsing Just for You and a librarian will select books for you based on your child's interests.

Register Now

Sign up for the 30 Books in 30 Days Reading Challenge online or through the Beanstack Tracker app. If you participated in a previous Reading Challenge, you'll use the same Beanstack account for this challenge. Tracking reading  is easy. You’ll have one username and password to track your books.

Prize Pick Up

We'll have a fun prize pickup party Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 2-4pm. If you don't make the pickup event, you may pick up your prize through Dec 6 in the Kids Library. Prizes are available while supplies last.
