Will Travel For Flowers!

Spring is upon us and that means that we are all noticing the beautiful colors around us. One of the first things that I notice when spring arrives are all the beautiful plants that start to bud and all the wonderful smells and colors that come with them. Here are some of the top travel destinations for all you flower lovers out there!

Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo is known for their beautiful cherry blossoms and is a popular destination for people to go to view the flowers. Popular locations to visit to view the trees include, Asukayama Park and Ueno Onshi Park. The best times to visit to see the trees blooming is in late March and early April.

Tuscany, Italy

Tuscany is filled with fields of beautiful sunflowers, which just so happen to be the state flower of Kansas. the best time to come see these flowers is in the earlier part of the summer, particularly in June and the early part of July.  They also have plentiful fields of red poppies if you decide to visit a little earlier in the year.

Giverny, France

Monet

One of the things that Giverny, France, is best known for is Claude Monet's gardens. After moving to Giverny and earning enough money to purchase the house and land, Monet created the amazing gardens that he is known for painting. He lived in the house until his passing in 1926. Visitors are welcome to come and see the gardens daily from April 1st, to November 1st.

Lisse, Natherlands

Keukenhof

Lisse is known for the Kaukenhof Castle and, in particular, the beautiful Keukenhof garden, which is also known as the Garden of Europe. It is the world's largest flower garden, which is planted with approximately seven million flower bulbs each year. It was established in 1949 and is open from March 20th until May 18th, although the grounds of Castle Keukenhof are open year-round.
