April is National Poetry Month, impress your teacher by reading and reporting on a novel in verse. These books are fast reads that are great stories. A novel written in verse is not just a book of poems with a theme, but it's a book with characters and plot that move a story forward.
"Real life", love stories, thrillers, fantasy, historical fiction, and mysteries, are just some of the genres written in verse. When you hand in your book report, you can tell your teacher you did it to expand your reading skills, you don't have to tell them it was easy and fun!
