Doll Horror in The Doll Collection

The Doll CollectionKurt and his friend Marshall want to feel alive so they take extreme trips, and this time they’re hiking in the Antarctic. It seems like an adventure of a lifetime until they make a discovery that could turn their trip into a nightmare in “Skin and Bone” by Tim Lebbon. This is the first short story in The Doll Collection edited by Ellen Datlow, which has a total of seventeen horror stories featuring dolls.

In “After and Back Before” by Miranda Siemienowicz a young woman, Kayna, lives in a post-apocalyptic world where she travels with her brother to a place where a few survivors live only to find that something deadly awaits her. In Joyce Carol Oates’s “The Doll-Master” a young man’s fascination with dolls leads to a disturbing conclusion. This creepy collection of stories also includes the authors Stephen Gallagher, Stephen Graham Jones, Carrie Vaughn, and Jeffrey Ford.
