DNA and Love in The Rosie Project

The Rosie ProjectDon Tillman has never had a second date, though he seems like quite a catch. He’s a brilliant professor of genetics, athletic, cooks and has his own apartment, but he has a problem relating to people. He takes everything too literally even going as far as watching a clock to give someone a minute when they ask for one. He’s obsessed with routines, details, and evidenced-based thinking which is great for science but not relationships. So his solution to finding a wife is to create a questionnaire for women in order to find the perfect partner and that second date.

Rosie enters Don’s life like a whirlwind upsetting his routine and obviously would not get past the first page of his questionnaire, but she needs his help and it has nothing to do with a date. Rosie wants to find her biological father and Don with his expertise could be the person to finally find the true identity of her father. It will take more than science to help this mismatched pair in The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. This is a charming, sweet novel with a hero who is worth cheering for and where love might be the answer.
