A Horrifying Legacy in Seeders

Isabelle Maguire is the heir of her estranged father’s estate which includes an isolated island where he lived alone and conducted scientific experiments. When Isabelle arrived at the island with her two sons and a teenage girl she met the other two heirs, Dr. Jules Beecher and Ginny Shufflebottom. There are papers and loose ends to tie up so for the next two weeks the little group will be alone on the island with only a two-way radio for communication to the outside world.

At first Isabelle’s return to the island is a nostalgic visit to her childhood memories with her father, but there are signs that something is wrong on the island. She discovers that her father went mad before his suicide, her youngest, son is growing aggressive, and Dr. Beecher has become obsessed with Isabelle’s fathers notes on his research.

Perhaps it’s just the isolation, but the menace is growing and their survival hangs in the balance in Seeders by A.J. Colucci. This is a frightening horror thriller that builds psychologically as the physical threats increase and as their island stay turns into a nightmare.
