The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library is seeking a qualified company to provide elevator modernization and maintenance for Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.

TIMELINE OF BID PROCESS

  • RFP Issued: Tuesday January 20, 2026
  • Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/ Site Visit: January 26, 1pm CST (meet in the Rotunda inside the Library’s front entrance)
  • Submission of Bidder Questions: Not later than Friday, February 2, 2026
  • Bid Receiving: Friday, March 6 at 3:30pm CST
    (bidders do not need to be present at bid receiving)
  • Board Consideration of Award: Thursday, March 19, 2026 4pm CDT; (bidders do not need to be present at the Board Meeting)
  • Notification of Decision to Bidders: Friday, March 20, 2026 (via email)
  • Contract Awarded: ​​​​Upon final legal approval

Network Switch Upgrade Project

The Library has forty-one (41) CISCO network switches in seven network closets that are at end of life and need to be replaced. The goal with this project is to upgrade to new equivalent network closet switches, licenses, and peripherals.

Dual Boiler Replacement at 1020 Washburn

The Library would like to remove and replace 2 RBI boilers and replace with 2 Lochinvar FTXL500 boilers.
