Chambre Meuble à Paris
ca. 1926
Interior of an apartment: man with a pipe, left background, woman working at loom, midground; pair of legs (from the artist's view) with sandals on feet at right. "In 1926, through the assistance of Joseph Pennell, Huntoon received a commission to produce a series of etchings of Parisian street scenes. What was supposed to be an assignment of a few weeks turned into five years of living in France. Working from an apartment in the Latin Quarter, Huntoon captured images of life in Paris in both print and oil format."
