Doug Sheafor created the glass blown solar system in the sensory room just east of the story zone. The space was designed to help spark children’s interest in science. It took Sheafor and his crew, which included his son and daughter, about three months to complete the project.

Kids’ eyes light up with surprise when they cruise through the kids nonfiction area and find Tyrannosaurus Rex legs standing among the books. 

 

Climbing Wall

Pretend you are in the mountains with our climbing wall. Test your skills to see if you can make it to the top. There's also a crow's nest next to the climbing wall where kids can get a bird's eye view of the Kids Library. 

 

Aquarium

Discover a magical place in the Kids Library where an undersea world is just a step away from the Story Zone. Our 288-gallon saltwater aquarium is filled with colorful fish, coral, anemone and snails. 

 

Big screen gaming

Kids can hang out with their friends, play games and make new friends at the Kids Library big screen gaming stations. You'll find a variety of gaming devices and games. There is one in The Edge for teens (12-18) and one in the elementary age area behind juvenile fiction.
