Find Tools & Advice to Update or Create an Amazing Resume

If you are looking to update or start building your resume, the library is here to help. We know it can be a little overwhelming to update your resume or to build one from scratch. Sometimes it has been years or even decades since you last attempted the feat.

Access Free Online Job Tools

First, use your library card to access LinkedIn Learning  (formerly known as Lynda.com). On this site you have access to a multitude of videos that will help you get acquainted with the newest trends and information on resumes. It will also help you with cover letters, job interview tips and brush up on job skills.

That same library card grants you access to Digital Learn. Digital Learn is a collection of self-paced classes on technology basics and resume building. It is a great place for people with very limited computer skills to start.

You can also come into the library and use one of our many public computers to access free resume templates on our Microsoft Word software. This will allow you to easily change or update your resume and make it look stunning.

Next, check out our Resume & Cover Letters page for

  • a list of local employers who are hiring
  • videos to help with resumes, cover letters and job interviews, and
  • access to resume building software.

One-On-One Job Help

Schedule a time to talk with a member of our Business Team. You can schedule an appointment online or email us jobhelp@tscpl.org. We are always excited to offer feedback on your existing resume or help you by providing suggestions as you begin to design a brand new resume!

Of course you can also check out books on building your resume. We have more than 60 books that cover this important topic.
