One of eight sea urchin spines, from a ceramic sculpture in several pieces, representing a boat atop waves, with rows of fish in the waves. The bottom form is in tiers, with orange and green fish in darker blue-gray waves, the fish have broken pieces of porcelain for teeth. A second piece of ceramic forming a stylized boat sits over an opening, holding eight sea urchin spines (not visible) as a reliquary for fish "bones." A round clay rock form sits on top of the boat.
The object was made in Fairbanks, AK.
