Margaret Atwood is a poet, novelist, essayist, and literary critic who has published more than 50 books during her long career. Her most widely-read novel, The Handmaid’s Tale, has been adapted for film, opera, ballet, dramatic radio broadcast, and stage. Her most recent novel, Maddaddam, published in September of 2013, concludes a dystopian trilogy that began with Oryx and Crake and continued with The Year of the Flood.
