Greensburg, Kan. was destroyed by an EF5 tornado on May 4, 2007. In the desperate days immediately after the catastrophe, town leaders decided to rebuild green, constructing its public buildings to the highest level of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Now the town boasts the title of “greenest city in America,” with the highest level of concentration of LEED certified buildings.

Come hear Fraga speak about his extensive research into the town’s mission to “go green” Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 7-8pm in Marvin Auditorium 101C.

Books for sale and signing available after the talk.
