SCHEDULE: Half time.
One position works four-hour shifts beginning at 2:15 pm Saturday and 8:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
The other position works 8:00 pm to midnight Friday and Monday, 2:15 to 6:15 pm Saturday, and 12:15 to 9:15 pm Sunday.
DUTIES: Perform cleaning procedure of the Library facilities to meet high performance standards. This will be accomplished with custodial equipment such as: large vacuums, upright vacuums, and carpet shampooers. Other tasks will include dusting, wet mopping, restroom cleaning, dust mopping, emptying trash, and other general custodial duties. Arrange meeting rooms for programs and meetings. Empty and box up donations. Lock and secure the Library.
REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Requires a minimum of one year custodial experience, knowledge of the operation of different types of custodial equipment, meeting room setup and minor maintenance experience is preferred. This medium work position requires bending, lifting/carrying 50 pounds, ability to exert 40 pounds of force when pushing/pulling materials, reaching, and ability to climb stairs, talking on the telephone, basic computer knowledge and stationary work at a computer terminal. A pre-and/or post-employment drug screen, a criminal history record check, and a physical capacity testing are required as a condition of employment.
PAY & BENEFITS: Starting pay $10.49 per hour. Excellent benefits including BCBS health/dental, a section 125 plan, and a retirement plan (KPERS).
