What’s in Your Top 5?

If you are a trivia buff, you will be happy to know that Ford Motor Company was officially created on this very day back in 1903. And thanks to Henry Ford and others, the automobile evolved in the movie industry into an element that gave us thrilling cinematic action scenes. Apparently, the squealing tires, the roar of an engine, and ultimately lots of mayhem and damage seem to be appeal factors for many movie buffs. Therefore, I decided to compile a list of my top 5 favorite movies containing the best car chase scenes. If I missed your favorite, please let me know by commenting below.

1. The Dark Knight

2. Bullitt

3. The Bourne Identity

4. The French Connection

5. Quantum of Solace

My favorite is the analog man in the digital age — 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard

Matt Farrell: You just killed a helicopter with a car!

John McClane: I was out of bullets.

  • Kelli

I actually haven’t seen that movie yet… shocking on my part. I’ll have to check it out.

  • Lisa Coble-Krings

The Italian Job. It makes me want to drive a Mini Cooper. Plus, Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron. Need I say more :0)

Good choices, Kelli. The ones I would add would be the first chase scene in Terminator 2 and the first chase scene in Terminator 3. The relentlessness of the evil terminators make them intense.
