The Kansas Book Festival will take place on Sept. 24 at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka. This event, designed to celebrate the best of Kansas literature, will offer a variety of activities for Kansans of all ages, including meet-the-author sessions, panel discussions, book signings and sales, and a special tent with projects for children.
The festival is set up as a 501(c)3 organization through the Topeka Community Foundation, which makes all contributions tax deductible. The book festival organization will award grants to public and school libraries across the state. Grants to selected libraries can be used to supplement their books, reading programs, and technology.
