A Highly Effective Mystery by Richard Yancey

Highly Effective DetectiveCrossing the street can be dangerous especially for a young family of geese that are run over by an insensitive driver. The only witness to the act is so angered that he enlists the services of Teddy Ruzak of The Highly Effective Detection & Investigation Company to find the heartless driver. Teddy doesn’t have a PI license or any experience, and this is his first case, but that doesn’t mean that his investigation won’t get results. Maybe not the results you’d expect especially when Teddy finds himself in the middle of a murder in The Highly Effective Detective.

This is the first book in a humorous mystery series by Richard Yancey starring Teddy who is clearly not the strong silent type with his penchant for talking. Of course, Teddy’s office wouldn’t be complete without his secretary, Felicia, who keeps Teddy in line and the business going. With her sarcasm, Teddy’s odd conversations, and a dry sense of humor, it’s never dull in these enjoyable light-hearted mysteries. There are three more books in the series: The Highly Effective Detective Goes to the Dogs, The Highly Effective Detective Plays the Fool, and the latest release The Highly Effective Detective Crosses the Line.
