February reads

Fiction Five Header
Last month I showed you some great new books, and you guys checked them out like crazy, and are still checking them out like crazy.
The Girl on the Train became a bestseller (for good reason) and we've had to purchase more copies to meet the demand. You've also got the rest of the January reads circulating throughout the community and on hold. Books don't wait long on the shelves in our new fiction section. You all are voracious readers. Keep it going! Keep us on our toes.

Here's your next round of satiation for that reading-thirst. February is going to be a great month for reading new fiction.

1. The Room by Jonas Karlsson

Bjorn is a compulsive, meticulous bureaucrat who discovers a secret room at the government office where he works -- a secret room that no one else in his office will acknowledge.

2. Prudence by David Treuer

index-2.aspx

A haunting and unforgettable novel about love, loss, race and desire in World War II-era America.

3. The Country of Ice Cream Star by Sandra Newman

index-3.aspx

In the aftermath of a devastating plague, a fearless young heroine embarks on a dangerous and surprising journey to save her world in this brilliantly inventive thriller.

4. The Swimmer by Joakim Zander

index-4.aspx

A deep-cover CIA agent races across Europe to save the daughter he never knew in this electrifying debut thriller -- an international sensation billed as "Homeland meets Stieg Larsson" that heralds the arrival of a new master. This book is really hot in Europe and it won't be long before Americans get in on it, too.

5. Find Me by Laura Van Den Berg

index-5.aspx

How's this for a premise? A sickness that begins with memory loss and ends with death sweeps the country, and Joy, for the first time in her life, seems to have an advantage: she is immune. When Joy's immunity gains her admittance to a hospital in rural Kansas, she sees a chance to escape her bleak existence.
