YA Author, Kim Liggett, Visits Teen Writers Group

Writers gotta write. Readers gotta read.

On September 26th, experience the perfect storm for teen writers and readers alike as Kim Liggett visits Teen Writers Group at The Edge. It will be an online video interview where teens can talk in person with this exuberant, complex author who has been a back-up singer, an actress, an entrepreneur, the mother of two teens, and is now a published author regardless of dyslexia.

kim-liggettKim Liggett is a member of The Freshmen Fifteen, a group of debut authors who, as children and young adults, found someone to nurture their love of reading and writing.

Now they’ve made it their mission is to do the same for the next generation of readers and writers. Her first book, Of Blood and Salt, was hailed as delightfully dark, deliciously creepy and sweepingly romantic. It’s sequel, Last Harvest, also promises a dark and intense ride. Listening to her talk about what she does is sure to be entertaining and inspiring.

Learning about how she does what she does will help aspiring authors understand the art of writing and the process of being published.

teen-writing-group-2The Teen Writer’s Group at TSCPL is a dedicated group of teens who invite you to come get to know us by  joining us on 2nd and 4th Mondays each month at 7 pm in the Edge. We sit down together to explore and to express ourselves through our writing in an always supportive, often hilarious setting that is filled with honesty, growth, and laughter.

If you are a teen writer, join in any time. You will find yourself surrounded by teens just like you who find the words flow easily from your pen when you are laughing at least as much as as you are polishing your writing skills.

And if you’d like to learn more about writing in the meantime, here are more Writing Resources for Teens.
