Raspberry Pi

Where most devices we use are designed to stop people from tinkering with them, the Raspberry Pi is the exact opposite. The Raspberry Pi is a low cost ($35) computer about the size of a credit card. It comes with all the tools you need to start making your own software or programming and you can connect it to many different devices. Come see a demonstration of what it can do at our Teen Tech Fair, March 12 4-5:30 in The Edge.

You can hook your Raspberry Pi to a TV or monitor with a HDMI cable and it can be controlled with a wireless keyboard and mouse. You can even connect to the Internet using an wired cable or Wi-Fi adapter.

The Raspberry Pi is a fun tool to learn how computers work and how you can create your own programs or electronic projects.

With your imagination the possibilities are endless to what this device is capable of. It can do many of the things your computer can do like play high definition video, play games, and much more. Watch this video to learn everything a beginner would need to know about the Raspberry Pi.

I work in the kids library with all ages, but especially with teens. I enjoy spending time with my two teenage kids and I love to cook for people. I also love animals and would have many more if I could. Ask me for recommendations of Young Adult realistic fiction - my favorite genre.
